The fundamental fault attributed to senior council staff is a structure unfit for purpose and incapable of efficient delivery of council services to the public. Its no good having splendid workers if others are lazy, prone to chatting most of the day and incapable of working to the demanding standards of the private sector where crap gets kicked-out long before it becomes part of the office furniture. A secondary issue is the inherent immunity given to staff to lie unrelenting to the public. If the council has so many sick workers incapable of performing properly whilst at work it is time for then to be pensioned-off. Slough deserves a lot better.

Its elementary. If the council gets it right the first time and avoids telling lies, not only in this matter but in other unrelated matters, my and your valuable time could be spent on other things. Get it wrong and the extra amount of attention is disproportionately high to getting it right the first time. I certainly don't want the extra aggro.
