Question 02

16 October 2007

From: a Resident of Stoke Road

Why has the Council done nothing to make safe the numerous broken paving slabs which present a serious tripping hazard to visitors to the cemetery entering via the main entrance in Stoke Road ?

Reply: Councillor Dexter Smith

These paving slabs were replaced at the end of September. As there were some delays in obtaining slabs to match the existing paving, temporary repairs were carried out prior to the slabs being renewed to ensure there were no risks to health and safety
