Slough Councillors Questions - 9 October 2007

Question 09

16 October 2007

From: Councillor Jagjit Grewal

Sir Menzies Campbell announced that the Liberal Democrats would be trying to break the cosy consensus of the established parties and be a real alternative. Given that you sit in a coalition with the Conservatives and attempt to make deals for joint London mayoral candidates or not to stand against each other locally, in what way are you a real and meaningful alternative to the Conservatives for the electorate in Slough?

Reply: Councillor John Edwards

The people of Slough have made it clear that they do not trust Labour to run our town. I respect that judgement and am willing to work with other parties to help deliver a better Slough.
