Slough Councillors' Questions - 24 July 2007

Question 11

29 July 2007

From Councillor Joginder Bal

Considering that every single senior member of staff has left since 2004  Untrue see List of Directors  and even some of their replacements are now also filing out of the Town Hall, what strategy do you have in place to halt this crisis in the Council staff retention rate?

Reply Councillor Richard Stokes

It is of course sad when any Officer decides to leave. However, anyone who does move on does so with our best wishes and also our thanks for their contribution towards improving services for Slough's residents.

All organisations experience change from time to time. The success of any organisation depends on how it manages this change and I wish to reassure you that, as a result of the solid foundations that we have put in place, although some of our personnel may change, the pace of service improvements will not.
