A substantial proportion of residents belong to ethnic communities. The combination of Sikhs, Muslims, Hindus, Afro-Caribbeans and new migrants from Eastern Europe all help contribute to an energetic, dynamic and diverse town. Add to that a whole host of major businesses and employers, and it’s easy to see why Slough is one of the most exciting and prosperous towns in the country. But we’re not resting on our laurels, as the new chief executive will soon find out.
