The Council has responded to the consultation by the Environment Agency regarding the recent IPPC application for the existing clinical waste incinerator.

Some concerns were indeed raised in the response, regarding the nominal capacity of the annual throughput, and more information was requested on this and in respect of emissions monitoring strategies and safeguards.

Also, at the time of this consultation response, and following concerns raised in Slough, the Council requested that the public notice required by the IPPC application process should be published in a Slough based local paper as well as a local paper published in West London.
