On 8th December 2004, the Council promised that a public hearing would be held over the proposed two Colnbrook incinerators after having meetings with London Mayor Ken Livingstone. Why has it taken nearly five months to hold a public hearing? The Council resolved on 8th December 2004 to hold an Open Day (not a public hearing) which the public can attend in order to debate the matter of the Colnbrook incinerators. The debate on incineration is being arranged as part of the Big Green Day Out 2 taking place in the Town Centre on 28th May. This is a large event and is taking time to organise. Details are currently being finalised and will be publicised shortly. |
