Question 10

From:  Mrs M Stoklosinska, Laburnum Grove, Colnbrook

Is the Council’s Constitution which was approved in June 2004 (and which is on the Council’s web site) still a current and valid Constitution? If so, then would you please explain why this Labour Constitution, which was so widely criticized, is still in use almost a year after the change of administration?

Reply: Councillor Richard Stokes

The Council's Constitution approved in June 2004 is still a current and valid document but amendments/additions to it are currently being considered by a Member Panel on the Constitution which is made up of Councillors from all political parties. All amendments/additions will have to be approved by the Council in due course. All Constitutions are those of the Council, not of a particular administration.
