Slough Residents' Questions - 26 April 2005

Question 1

From:  Mr A Tilbury, Pemberton Road, Britwell

Why, when the public complains, are their complaints investigated and decided by the very people whose actions the public are complaining about?

Reply: Councillor Richard Stokes

Complaints submitted under the corporate complaints procedure are not dealt with by the person about whom the complaint is made. They are initially investigated by the person's line manager and if the complainant is still not satisfied they then proceed through the complaints procedure to the Chief Executive.
