Britwell Youth and Community Centre were awarded a Community Grant for one year from July 1st 2004 to June 2005 of £15,898. The funding is towards core costs (salaries and building costs). This is subject to monitoring during this year to allow a recommendation to be made about future funding to the project. The grant is currently found from the general grants to voluntary bodies budget and therefore monitored by the Voluntary Sector and Grants Unit in co-operation with colleagues in Slough Services for Young People.

This is also part of the Cabinet report to members which is due to be discussed on 25th October, which is an update on the development of Slough Services for Young People. One of the issues raised in this paper is the anomaly of some grants for youth projects being still managed by Neighbourhood and Community Services.
