Mindful of the legislation which confers an ability upon the council to revoke or retrospectively alter previously granted planning consent, for what sum has this authority insured itself, either specifically or generally, against the potentially expensive consequences of such action?

Reply: Councillor Geoff Howard

The Council do not specifically insure against paying compensation under the planning legislation as the extent of their third party insurance is set out in the answer to question 11.
