When you had a meeting with Parish Councillors you stated to the Chairman that the damaged road in Norway Drive was to be resurfaced at the end of March. However when an enquiry was made to a Highway Officer he said that the resurfacing would take place at the end of April. After still further enquires I have discovered that the work is not scheduled to start until the end of September. Why were false reassurances given that the work would start at the end of March and when will the damaged road actually be resurfaced? I indicated to Cllr. Haines that funding would be available to resurface Norway Drive in the 2004/05 financial year - which starts in April. I believe I stated that resurfacing would be undertaken in the near future. Letters were sent to residents of Norway Drive in April with notification that the work would commence in early May.
