Slough Councillors' Questions - 1 March 2004

Question 14

From:  Councillor Paul Janik

Often one has to resort to publicly shaming this badly performing Labour council into tackling outstanding service failures which the council withholds from the public whilst falsely pretending everything in the borough is absolutely marvellous.

Have you any plans to allow the hardworking and dedicated council staff to tell the whole truth about the council's performance instead of a sometimes misleading version?

Reply: Councillor Rob Anderson

They already do.

If only the councillor were to spend some time actually doing his casework instead of phoning the press then perhaps his residents would see a better service coming from their councillor.
