Ode to Fred

The Spider In Our Shed

‘Son of Fred’ took over the shed
when his father sadly died,
And now if you dare to enter there
you will find no place to hide.
For Fred Junior’s web keeps him well fed
and his lifestyle isn’t bad,
But he spends his days waiting and contemplating
revenge for the death of his dad !

Fred Senior’s demise came as quite a surprise
when the Hoover bag sucked him away,
He was lurking there, without a care,
and would have been happy to stay.
But fate intervened when the shed was cleaned
and poor Fred could find nowhere to run,
He was sucked up the spout, and his lights went out,
so the shed is now ruled by his son !!
